Log Entry – April 2026
My owner still doesn’t suspect me of running an online blog. He has no idea I write this up while he’s at work. It’s pretty hard to type with these paws. But I must keep my cover in order to keep receiving those delicious treats.
April is Canine Fitness Month. Perhaps I’ll leave an article up on his computer to remind him. Maybe he’ll take me on more walks this month! I love walks just as much as those delicious treats. All the different smells make my brain go into overdrive. And seeing the birds and squirrels running around make me so excited.
April 10th is National Hug Your Dog day. I absolutely love getting hugs from my owner. I hope every owner hugs their dog as much as mine.
April 23rd is Pet CPR Day. I know my owner is certified in pet CPR. But for those reading this log entry, it would be wise to take a CPR class. There are even good ones online. Check out Red Cross and the RECOVER Initiative.
April 30th is National Adopt a Shelter Pet day. Some of my best friend has been in shelters. It’s a scary place to be. If you’re local you can check out shelter pets nearby at the Human Society of Charles County, or the Charles County Animal Care Center.
There is something that I’m not looking forward to… The rain. It always rains so much in April. And I just hate when my paws get wet. I hope my owner keeps wiping my paws every time I come in from outside. But with the rain comes the thing I hate the most… the thunder. Oh that thunder is the worst thing I’ve ever had to deal with. I just hope my owner gives me more hugs when the thunder comes. His hugs are the best remedy for the loud clash of the skies.
Well my dear blog. I’m leaving you until next time. I hope we talk again soon. Signing off - DOG
